Put the off-switch out of reach.
dawnr is a physical alarm accessory paired with an iPhone app. Place the tile out of arm’s reach so dismissing a device-linked alarm takes a walk and a tap. Most mornings start as a reflex: a hand reaching across the dark, a thumb that finds the snooze and then the feed. We wanted the first thing you do to be standing up, not scrolling.

The official dawnr app
Our iPhone app is listed as Dawnr: Alarm Clock You Walk To on the App Store, app ID 6779396455. It is free to download, with free Wake-Up Missions that work without the optional physical tile. The tile costs $59 with free standard US shipping; the core alarm needs no subscription.
iOS 26+ supports the full alarm experience. iOS 18–25 support notifications. Android and iPad are not supported.
The ritual
dawnr is built around one small, deliberate act: you put the dawnr out of arm’s reach at night, then walk to it and tap your phone to stop the alarm. Placement and setup affect the experience; the physical distance adds a step before dismissal.
No charging, no screen, no notifications of its own. It sits on a dresser or shelf out of arm’s reach and adds a physical step before dismissal. Your phone can stay right where it is until you're standing and have walked to the tap target.
Design-led, on purpose
A thing you touch first thing every morning should feel worth touching. So we treated the dawnr like the object it is, a quiet, well-made piece for the room you have to walk to, not a gadget. Matte soft white, a raised rising-sun mark, a weight that feels honest in the hand. iPhone support, with a Couples 2-pack for two phones, two sides of the bed.
Honest pricing
dawnr is $59. Buy once, it's yours. The core alarm, the thing dawnr is actually for, requires no subscription. App Lockdown is included for selected apps and a user-chosen interval, with iOS controls and overrides still applying.
If dawnr doesn't change your mornings within 30 nights, send it back for a full refund, no interrogation.
No dark patterns
We don't do fake countdowns, fake scarcity, fake reviews, or engagement bait. The product's whole point is to give you your attention back in the morning. It would be absurd to build a company that quietly takes it. So we don't.
- The sleep microphone, if you ever turn it on, is off by default, runs on-device, and is opt-in. Audio isn't uploaded.
- The core alarm is included with the hardware purchase and has no subscription.
- No fabricated urgency. The founder-edition limit is a real number, not a reset-every-visit timer.
Proof before promises.
We will not fake reviews. Until owners report back, these are the promises we can stand behind today.
