Does dawnr require a subscription?
No. Waking up is the product, and the alarm is never paywalled. Buying the dawnr includes lifetime access to the dawnr app — the alarm, lock mode, and sleep tracking are yours forever. dawnr Pro is an optional upgrade for deeper insights, but you never need it to wake up.
How do I turn the alarm off?
You get out of bed, walk to wherever you placed the dawnr (we recommend a dresser or the kitchen counter), and tap your phone to it. That single tap stops the alarm. Because the dawnr is out of arm's reach, there's no snooze loophole to reach from bed. By the time you've walked over, you're already up.
What if I just ignore it and go back to sleep?
You can. But you have to walk over to shut it up first, and almost nobody gets back into bed after that.
Does it listen to me? What about the sleep microphone?
The sleep microphone is off by default. It is strictly opt-in, and when you do turn it on, processing happens on-device, and your audio is not uploaded to us or anyone else by default. dawnr is built to give you your mornings back, not to harvest them.
Can two people use it?
Yes, there's a Couples 2-pack: two units, one for each phone and each side of the bed. Each works independently with its own phone.
What is the founder edition?
The first 100 units are a numbered, one-time founder edition. Founder orders ship first, and the 100 is a real count, not a timer that resets every time you visit.
