Build your morning phone plan
Pick the problem you want to solve. The plan stays in this page while you choose.
Your plan
- 1.Pick one thing to do before opening the feed: get dressed, fill your water glass, or start breakfast.
- 2.Set an app limit or Downtime in iPhone Screen Time for the apps you chose. Keep access to the contacts and tools you need.
- 3.Leave the phone at your chosen spot while you finish that first task. Afterwards, decide deliberately whether to open the feed.
dawnr supports the full alarm experience on iOS 26 or later. iOS controls and overrides remain available.

The alarm ends while you are still in bed
Move the dismissal point out of arm's reach. Try an alarm you own first. A physical tap accessory adds a destination for your phone; a standalone alarm gives you a way to keep the phone away. Neither prevents you from returning to bed.
The feed starts as soon as you wake
Choose a first task and put its supplies where you will see them. App limits, a dedicated blocker, or a timed container address access to the feed. Check that your setup leaves the calls and tools you need available.
Your phone interrupts the rest of the day
Start with the apps and time period that interrupt a specific task. Built-in focus settings can be a free first step. A daytime focus product solves a different problem from an alarm.
Where dawnr fits
dawnr pairs an iPhone alarm with a tile placed out of arm's reach. Get up, walk over, and tap your phone to the tile. iOS 26 or later supports the full alarm experience; iOS 18–25 uses notifications. Android and iPad are not supported.
The core alarm, Missions, and App Lockdown do not require a subscription. App Lockdown can shield selected apps for the interval you choose. iOS controls and overrides remain available.
