Who we are

This Privacy Policy describes how dawnr (“dawnr,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and protects information in connection with getdawnr.com and the dawnr product. You can reach us anytime at info@getdawnr.com.

Information we collect

• Waitlist email. When you join the list, we collect the email address you provide so we can tell you when the dawnr is available.
• Order information. If you place an order, we (or our payment and fulfillment providers) collect the details needed to process and ship it: name, shipping address, and order contents. Payment card details are handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers.
• On-device sleep audio (opt-in). The dawnr sleep microphone is off by default. If you choose to enable it, audio is processed entirely on your device and is never uploaded to us.

  Sleep audio, if you ever enable it, is processed entirely on your device, is never uploaded to our servers, and is never sold or shared. We do not build advertising profiles from it.

• Basic analytics.We collect limited, aggregate usage data about the website (such as page views and general device type) to understand what's working.

How we use information

• To notify you about availability and fulfill orders.
• To provide support and respond to your messages.
• To operate, secure, and improve the website and product.
• To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not use your sleep audio to build advertising profiles.

Legal bases (EEA / UK)

If you are in the EEA or UK, we rely on the following legal bases under the GDPR:

• Performance of a contract to process and ship your order.
• Consent to send you waitlist and availability emails and to set non-essential analytics (you can withdraw consent at any time).
• Legitimate interests to operate, secure, and improve the website and product.
• Legal obligation to keep records we are required to keep.

Where we use service providers outside your country, any transfer is protected by appropriate safeguards such as the Standard Contractual Clauses. You may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Sharing & third parties

We share information only with service providers who help us run the business (for example email delivery, payment processing, analytics, and shipping) and only as needed for them to perform that service. We may also disclose information where required by law.

Categories of personal information (California)

Under the CCPA/CPRA, the categories of personal information we collect are: identifiers (name, email, shipping address), commercial information (order details), and internet or other activity (basic, aggregate website usage). We collect these from you directly and from our service providers, for the purposes described above. We do not collect sensitive personal information as defined by the CPRA, and on-device sleep audio is never collected by us.

Data retention

We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above: for example, waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or we close the list, and order records as required for accounting and warranty. We then delete or anonymize it.

Your rights (GDPR / CCPA)

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, to object to or restrict certain processing, and to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information. To exercise any right, email info@getdawnr.com. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

dawnr is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date above, and where appropriate we'll notify you.
